Under the direction of the Electrical Systems Chief, incumbent will perform difficult transportation engineering work involved in the planning, design, and operation of Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Transportation Engineer (Electrical)  exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Special Requirements

Appointment to Range D requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Electrical) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.” For all other ranges, a PE license is not required.
